Workflow
Example use cases
Scenario one:
Steve works for a non-profit organization that helps parents pay for their children’s school expenses. Since implementing Disbursements via Zelle, this is a much easier process. Steve can now use either a phone number or email address to send payments to recipients, instead of needing their routing and account numbers. Plus, he knows payments are received within a day.
Scenario two:
Stephanie never received the shoes she ordered online so she reached out to the retailer. Maren, the customer support agent, did a little research and found that the shoes were marked as undelivered. Stephanie needs those shoes for a ski trip she is taking so she asks for a refund. Since the retailer implemented the Disbursements via Zelle API, Maren asks Stephanie if she would like her refund through Zelle. Stephanie accepts so Maren submits the payment request and Stephanie receives her refund notification by the next day.
Scenario three:
Jane works for a large insurer processing insurance claims. Her employer released a new update to their enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that allows her to review the claim and then issue the payment simply by using the customer’s email address. This has made Jane’s process much faster, easier and more efficient, and she is able to review more claims in less time.
Restrictions
Recipients must enroll in the Zelle Network to receive Zelle B2C payments. If a recipient fails to enroll they will be mailed a physical check
