### Validate bank information for payroll disbursements.
A payroll administrator at an organization wants to ensure the bank information for each employee is correct before the organization’s payroll disbursements are processed via ACH. Using the Bank Information API, the organization can validate routing numbers before the salary disbursement and avoid ACH return fees, which range from $2 to $5 per return.

### Determine the method of transfer for disbursements.
A university disburses funds to the academic students as part of a government disbursement program. Using the Bank Information API, each student’s routing number can be validated, and the method of the transfer (ACH or real-time payment) can be confirmed, allowing the university to separate the disbursement payments by payment network.

Example use cases

* A maximum number of 10 routing numbers can be validated in a single call.
 * Only domestic routing numbers are supported.

Bank Information

A routing number is a nine-digit numerical code assigned to a bank or financial institution in the U.S. The Bank Information API validates routing number and provides bank information and branch details, including bank name, branch name and the complete address with city, state and country. It also provides information on the supported transfer methods. By validating the routing number details before the actual payment is sent, the Bank Information API gives you an extra measure of confidence in your money movement transactions.
