Example use cases

Card as a Service API should be used in conjunction with [Virtual Card Payments API](/products/virtual-card-payments/v2) for the creation and management of virtual cards. 

Integration requires a U.S. Bank corporate card program for U.S. Bank Corporate Travel, U.S. Bank One Card or U.S. Bank Purchasing Card. Limited to Visa® or Mastercard® networks.

If using Apple Pay or Google Pay: 
  * An endorsement is required from U.S. Bank to achieve entitlement to push to mobile wallet. 
  * Developer is required to have an Apple or Google developer account.

Requirements

Commercial virtual cards are only intended for business use. Use cases associated with payroll, gift and rewards or incentive cards are not supported.

Restrictions and addendums are required if using internationally.

Visa® and Mastercard® networks are supported in USD and CAD currencies only.

Card as a Service

The Card as a Service (CaaS) API allows you to deliver a digital corporate credit card for business purchases and expenses into your mobile app experience. Using tokenization and encryption, the card can be pushed to the user's mobile wallet in a frictionless way. The ability to attach receipts to cards helps you track expenses and simplifies reconciliation. Creation and modification of virtual cards is completed using the Virtual Card Payments API.
