### Enable your business customers to open new virtual accounts.
A payment platform has an FBO account with U.S. Bank. The platform manages receivables for their end customers. The platform leverages the Corporate Onboarding API to improve the onboarding process by making it less time-consuming while continuing to make their customers’ receivables flow smoothly.
### Onboard new customers and submit accounts.
A financial technology provider has a U.S. Bank FBO account and offers payables solutions to their end customers. The provider leverages the Corporate Onboarding API to add new customers to their platform, which then enables their customers to open new virtual accounts.
### Create virtual accounts to separate funds based on business line (non-FBO partners only). 
A financial technology partner wants to manage debits from different business lines under one DDA account. Using the Corporate Onboarding API, the partner can create virtual accounts for each business line to separate and manage debit transactions.

<p>Automate the U.S. Bank client’s end customer virtual account opening process. This API is only available for U.S. Bank FBO partners.</p>


Corporate Onboarding

U.S. Bank clients can leverage the Corporate Onboarding API to open virtual accounts by submitting data such as KYC, CIP verification, and other data, rather than using a manual document-based process. 

In this way, U.S. Bank clients enable their platforms to provide virtual account opening features for their end customers. This process automates the manual document-based process of KYC and CIP that our clients have had to follow, simplifying the onboarding process for U.S. Bank clients and their customers' accounts. As the primary beneficiaries of using this API, U.S. Bank FBO clients can enable their end customers' due diligence to open virtual accounts by using their platforms. U.S. Bank non-FBO clients can also use this API to create virtual accounts for their own organization.


Overview

* Submit onboarding data and receive an OnboardingID that can be used to track your virtual account opening status and retrieve virtual account details.
* Retrieve end-to-end onboarding status and virtual account details, such as virtual account name and virtual account number, using OnboardingID.
* Close a virtual account by passing the virtual account number.
* Create virtual accounts using just the a DDA (non-FBO partners only).
* Evaluate API features in a sandbox environment by adding it to a project.
